2. Bookings

Booking can be requested via the enquiry form on the webpage, or via email.

Securing the booking of the event:

The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid the non-refundable booking fee to the makeup artist. This fee is dependant on the service being booked. The makeup artist will provide a quotation / booking summary, request payment of the non-refundable booking fee, and confirm receipt of the booking fee. It is the client’s responsibility to check the booking summary and ensure that the makeup artist is notified of any errors or changes to be made within 7 days. If a client notifies the makeup artist after this period and is unable to fulfil the booking, cancellation fees may apply. Payment dates will be supplied on the booking summary and is to be fulfilled on time by the client.

3 - Payments

Payments can be made in cash or through a payment link supplied by the makeup artist. Cheques are not accepted. The non-refundable booking fee paid by the client is deducted from the total fee. If it is a wedding booking, any trials included in the booking summary are to be paid for no closer than 2 weeks before the booked trials. The remaining balance is to be paid in full by the dates stated on the booking summary. Full payment of the event must be settled at least 1 month before the event date. Failure to pay the fee within the stated time will result in the event being cancelled by the makeup artist.

4. Cancellations/Changes to booking:

For any Wedding bookings, this must be cancelled in writing via email 3 months before the event. If the event is booked closer than 3 months prior to the event date then at least 6 weeks’ notice is required. If this is not completed, the client is liable to the full amount on the booking summary.

If the wedding is cancelled closer than 4 weeks before the wedding event, the makeup artist is under no obligation to refund any of the paid amounts up to the point of cancellation. Any additional charges incurred up to the date of cancellation, including the cost of any trials, travel or admin expenses are also non-refundable.

Any cancelled appointments including trials (this does not include wedding events) with less than 72 hours’ notice will lose 50% of the full cost of the appointment.

Should the makeup artist need to cancel your appointment due to, but not limited to, any unexpected event such as illness or anything that would affect the makeup artist performance the client is entitled to a full refund. No further compensation will be offered. If the appointment / wedding event is affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist including, but not limited to, covid-19, pandemic related events, safety reasons, or weather conditions, wherever possible the makeup artist will attempt to rectify the situation wherever possible and be fair with the client. No compensation will be offered. If you have booked a wedding, wedding insurance is highly recommended to cover and assist you against any unexpected situations.

For any rescheduled appointment or wedding events, the makeup artist reserves the right to increase the price of the appointment or event, on the booking summary in line with any increased pricing structure.

Following the deposit being paid, any changes made to the agreed quotation within a 12 month window of the wedding, will incur a £5 admin fee per quotation amendment. This will be added onto your quotation.

For any changes to wedding party numbers who are booked to receive makeup, outlined in the booking summary / invoice, such as a decrease in the numbers booked – any changes made closer than 12 weeks before the wedding date are still payable as per the booking summary agreed.

Should you have a second makeup artist attached onto your quotation, arranged by Amy, and the agreed booked party numbers decreases, within a 4 month period of the booking date, to where the second makeup artist is no longer warranted, a fee of £65 will be incurred.

For any increase in numbers, the client should let the makeup artist know as early as possible to check if this is viable, as there is no guarantee more time can be added.

Cancellation or changes to TRIAL bookings - should any member of the bridal party who are booked in for a trial need to cancel or reschedule their trial, a minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required. Failure to comply with this will result in £30 per person (who hasn’t attended their trial appointment) being deducted from the payment balance at that point in time. This will then need to be paid again to ensure the payment balance is back on track to keep your booking secure.

 5. Eligibility for Services

For health and safety purposes, the client is requested to make known to the makeup artist of any allergies they have. This includes skin sensitivities, or any medical conditions. The makeup artist is unable to carry out any services on clients with active cold-sores, as well as any other contagious condition on the face / neck.

The makeup artist reserves the right to abort the service should any of the above arise on the day of the appointment / event and full payment is liable from the client.

This would then relate to the cancellation terms, in section 4.

6. Responsibility of the Client

The makeup artist reserves the right to abort the service should the makeup receive any threatening or abusive behaviour or any other goings on in which the makeup artist does not feel safe. Should any matter like this arise on the day of the appointment / event and full payment is liable from the client.
